Porcelana is a famous heirloom cacao. The beans for this bar are sourced in Venezuela. This rare variety fruits have a beautifully light pod, yielding a superior nutty flavour. Chocolate Tree has yet to visit Venezuela, but they do know from their supplier Campo Lindo that the farmers are based in La Orquídea, Zulia State (Sure de Lago) and are paid a premium price ($6.40 per kg) at the farm gate for their dried authentic Porcelana cacao.
